Averbode Abbey: a legacy renewed in a vibrant brand culture

New products with a history

Averbode Abbey asked true. food agency to develop the brand culture for its new range of food products. In co-creation with the abbey community, we went through an intensive branding process that resulted in an attractive concept and brand story for Averbode’s beer, cheese and bread range. This way, we established a comprehensive positioning and visual identity of these products, while ensuring strong engagement within the abbey community.

true. food agency developed the main visual identity and all packaging design for logos for the beer, bread and cheese products of Averbode Abbey. The visual identity was subsequently documented and consolidated in a comprehensive brand book.

Based on the positioning and identity, we set up the 'route to market' with the various partners. Furthermore, we developed campaign images for posters and roll-ups, labels and packaging for the various products, and we also created promotional material such as glasses and beer mats. On top of that, we designed and developed Averbode’s new website.
