Elevating Amsterdam’s rooftop scene.

High above Amsterdam’s streets, perched atop the Renaissance Hotel, CIMA brings fresh rooftop energy to the city with it's Mexican-inspired vibes.

True developed the full 360° concept for CIMA, shaping everything from branding and interior design to the food and beverage experience. The idea was not to recreate traditional Mexico, but to bring the spirit of Mexico City today to Amsterdam. Two cities that match in energy, creativity and have some much to show in a new wave of design, art and culture.

'Mexican-inspired
flavours, bold design
and sweeping views.'
Inside, rich colours, tactile materials and expressive artworksmeet sharper architectural lines and refined metal details. The space unfolds over several levels, with a mezzanine DJ booth overlooking the bar and gradually becoming the heartbeat of the venue as the night takes over.

The rooftop terrace opens up to panoramic
views of Amsterdam’s historic centre and flows naturally from the interior, a place that starts withsunset drinks and slowly shifts into late-night rhythm.

The visual identity carries the same attitude: bold typography, vibrant colours and graphic compositions that feel playful and contemporary. From menus and signage to in-venue graphics, the branding adds personality throughout the space.
On the menu, Mexican-inspired street food and shareable plates meet a strong cocktail program built around signature taptails: handcrafted cocktails served on tap. Developed together with Belgian mixologist Paul Morel, the drinks combine speed with serious mixology, perfectly suited for a buzzing rooftop bar.

CIMA adds a new perspective to Amsterdam’s rooftop scene. A place where design, atmosphere and flavour come together, high above the city.
